Over the past 30 years, children’s outdoor play has a taken a drastic hit in three major areas:
Time spent outdoors has decreased dramatically. 
Play has become over-supervised by helicopter parents, nannies, teachers. 
Playgrounds are sanitized - bolted down, boring and dangerously uniform.

Play is a child’s best teacher, encouraging grit, resilience, empathy, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
